  • Severe storms, Extreme heat and Tropical Trouble?

Good morning everyone.  Hope you all had a great weekend.  We’ve got several big weather stories to keep an eye on this week.   If you live across the Northeast, strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon from Maine to the Mid Atlantic including D.C and New York city.

Large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will be possible.

Heavy rain will also be a concern with the risk of flash flooding.

Dangerous heat is the story across California and the southwest with record highs possible.

Phoenix, Arizona could hit one of their hottest days today in history:

And we’re watching two tropical systems in the atlantic that could be named today or tomorrow.

Regardless of whether the system is named or not, heavy rain is expected along the gulf coast as a result.

We’ll have details for you throughout the week and on Fox and Friends!

Hey JB & AJ! Nice to see some action on the blog. The last time I posted, I felt like I was talking to myself so I was just waiting for someone else to post something. We've had plenty of hot weather lately-in the low 90's. Today we had some nasty storms, I had an appointment about an hour away & managed to outrun most of the rain. While I had lunch with a friend, the deluge came with lots of rain, wind, thunder/lightning. Thankfully, it let up so I didn't get too wet. Take care, all. Margie

JD, I appreciate and enjoy your blog a lot. We had some unexpected rain this morning bringing a little cooler temps which was welcome. Lately it has been mid to upper 90's and the morning lows are only down to the mid 70's. Hope all the folks are doing well.JB
