  • Severe storms for the Midwest and Heat grips much of the U.S.

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you have a great weekend planned.  It is going to be hot hot hot for much of the country!

We could see several rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms from the northern Plains through the  upper Midwest into the Great Lakes.

Damaging winds, large hail, and flooding will be the primary threats with these storms. Meanwhile, Excessive heat will grip the central Plains into the Midatlantic with heat indices approaching 105 to 110 degrees.

Heat watches and warnings are posted for millions of people, so please be careful and stay cool.

And a warning if you live in the southwest –  more monsoonal moisture will be pulled into the region with the risk of heavy rain and flash flooding.

If you’re up with us this morning, we will be enjoying live music from O Town on the plaza for our summer concert series!  Forecast looks good, but it’s going to be muggy…

See you on Fox and Friends!
