    Hi everyone!

    Hope your week has been great —  I am ready for the weekend!   Taking a look at our weather headlines, we’ve still got excessive heat across the West Coast.

    Record breaking highs continue to be the story for the next few days.  Heat advisories remain up for the Northwest:

    A strong cold front sweeping the eastern U.S. will bring showers and thunderstorms with it, plus much cooler air for the Midwest and Great Lakes.

    Here’s a look at the potential rainfall over the next 5 days:

    We’ve also got our eyes on the tropics which are starting to act up off the coast of Africa and in the Caribbean:

    We’re just a few weeks away from peak season, so if you live in an area that could be affected, make sure you have your Hurricane preparedness plan in place.
